Britney Charged In a Hit-Run Case Britney Spears has been charged in hit-run case and driving without a license.

According to the reports, on Aug 6 Britney struck a vehicle in a parking lot at 12800 Ventura Blvd in Studio City and then just drove away from that place.

It is said that a videotape has the whole incident captured and if convicted then Britney will be sentenced to jail for one year.

The L.A police investigated the case after a complaint was lodged by the owner of the car. The prosecutor had said that the driver was a singer and a subsequent check with the California Department of Motor Vehicles showed she has no California license.

Spears got a letter informing her of the charges and her case is scheduled for arraign on Oct 10th.

This is a very dangerous situation because Britney can be in jail for one year.
