?Shrek the Halls? premieres tonight!
November 28, 2007
Don’t forget to tune in to ABC at 8 PM tonight to catch the premiere of the soon-to-be holiday-classic “Shrek the Halls”! It features all the original voices (Mike Meyers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz, Antonio Banderas and many more), and sort of picks up where “Shrek the Third” ended.
And for your information, I’m almost completely done with the small revamp of Cameron Fan. Expect a lot of new content and a brand new look in the coming weeks.
Tom Cruise wins German film award for courage
November 28, 2007
BERLIN (Reuters Life!) - U.S. actor Tom Cruise has won a German film award for his willingness to take risks in his films, media company Hubert Burda Media said on Wednesday.
The ‘courage’ award will be presented during the 59th annual Bambi Awards ceremony in the northern city of Duesseldorf on Thursday.
The prize committee said Cruise has pursued brave projects that otherwise would not have been made, including his newest film, “Valkyrie”, which details the failed Operation Valkyrie plot to kill Adolf Hitler.
Cruise plays Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg, who tried to assassinate Hitler with a briefcase bomb on July 20, 1944.
“Tom Cruise is making an international public familiar with a story that has never before been the theme of a major Hollywood production: the German resistance against the Third Reich,” the competition jury said in a statement.
Some resistance to Cruise’s work in “Valkyrie” has come from inside German government ministries. The Defence Ministry tried to ban Cruise from filming at the “Bendlerblock” complex in Berlin where the conspirators were executed.
They relented after filmmakers persuaded them the movie would honour Stauffenberg. Cruise filmed at the Bendlerblock and elsewhere in Berlin this autumn.
Defence Minister Franz Josef Jung initially said he did not want Cruise to film at the site because the actor is a Scientologist, which the German government describes as a cult. The ministry later said they were concerned about preserving the dignity of the site.
The German media awards are named after the deer statuette winners receive. The daughter of one of the first winners said the figurine looked like the children’s storybook character Bambi.

Christina Aguilera Bares All on Marie Claire Cover
November 28, 2007
Mom-to-be Christina Aguilera is making like Demi Moore and Britney Spears – displaying her bare belly in a revealing cover photo for the January issue of Marie Claire magazine.
She also reveals even more in the interview, saying pregnancy wasn’t really on her mind when she found out she and husband Jordan Bratman were to become first-time parents.
“We were planning on starting to try after the [Nov. 2006-May 2007 Back to Basics] tour. And so, I had gone off the Pill to prepare my body, because I didn’t know how much time it would take,” the Grammy winner, 26, tells the magazine.

Marie Clarie - January 2008
November 28, 2007
Just got an email from PR Coordinator from Hearst Magazines regarding an exclusive interview with one on one Marie Clarie editor.
Pop megastar Christina Aguilera is downright giggly as she opens up for the first time about her baby boy, her marriage, and her future in the “Sexy Mama” cover article featured in the January 2008 issue of Marie Claire, on newsstands nationally December 11, 2007.
Excerpts and quotes from the article include:
It turns out the pregnancy was a bit of a surprise for her and husband Jordan Bratman:
“We were planning on starting to try after the tour. And so, I had gone off the Pill to prepare my body, because I didn’t know how much time it would take. You’ve heard it takes some time — except with Power Egg and Super Sperm here… I’m like, Oh, my God, can you believe it just happened?” [said Aguilera.]
Aguilera figures she got pregnant when Bratman was visiting her in Georgetown, during the U.S. leg of her ‘Back to Basics’ tour… Only problem was she still had a month left on an eight-month world tour where she changes costumes at least 10 times during the show, hangs from a circus pinwheel, rides a carousel horse, plays a dominatrix, and wears major heels throughout:
“I was paranoid. There are so many things that could go wrong — somebody could slip, somebody could fall, I could fall. There was no way in hell I was going to jeopardize my baby for my show.” So she wore a well-concealed heart monitor. She didn’t want to broadcast the news. “I didn’t want to make the audience uncomfortable, like, ‘Pregnant lady onstage! Is she going to be OK?’ But I had to announce it to my band and my dancers, because I wanted to make sure they had my back.”
Aguilera talks about her simple decision not to announce her pregnancy. Somehow it figures that the criminally uncircumspect Paris Hilton would be the one to spill the beans, at an MTV Video Music Awards party. [When asked] if Hilton’s faux pas angered her, she shrugs it off. “Because I hadn’t said anything, people thought I was trying to keep it this big, bad secret, and that’s not the case at all. I just wasn’t commenting. I’m not being like, ‘Hey, everybody, I’m pregnant!’ I’m not that girl.”
Aguilera says she likes the idea of a big family, although she doesn’t have a set number of kids in mind… But the domestication of Christina Aguilera is likely to be complicated. What will it mean for someone who has treated her confrontational sexuality as both a rallying cry and a right?
“We’re so labeled. If you’re too sexual, you’re slutty. If you’re not sexual enough, you’re a prude. I like to put it out there as a topic of conversation. Why does it bother you? What’s your problem with it? Am I really hurting you? Let’s get to the root of it. I have more than one side of me that likes to get out on a stage and sing. Sometimes I want to be aggressive, sometimes I want to feel empowered in my sexuality and my vulnerability. I want to put all that out there.”

The 9 Hottest Pregnant Women, Ever
When you´re Christina Aguilera, you can pull off swollen ankles.
Baby daddy: Husband Jordan Bratman
She probably won´t be getting dirty in any boxing rings for a while, but Xtina hasn´t resorted to a housecoat and slippers, either. Plus, there´s a good chance her doctor has told her to take out her piercings because of the bun in her oven, which is a plus for guys that aren´t into body mods.

Cameron about ?Shrek the Halls?
November 26, 2007
Shrek, star of three animated blockbusters, now has his own Christmas special, “Shrek the Halls,” which debuts Wednesday, November 28, on ABC.Cameron Diaz, who reprises her voice role as Princess Fiona, hopes the story of the grumpy-yet-lovable green ogre’s first Christmas with family and friends will become a holiday tradition.“It’s just wonderful to see how they celebrate their Christmas and what it means to them,” the 35-year-old actress told The Associated Press in a recent phone interview. “And the humor is there and the beauty is there and the message is there.”
“He’s grown so much … it’s kinda great to see where he’s at now that he has a family and he’s experiencing life with other people for the first time — you know, investing in them,” Diaz said.
“Shrek the Halls” follows Shrek (voiced by Mike Myers) as he tries to achieve Yuletide perfection for Fiona and their children. Things fall apart when unwanted guests arrive at his doorstep on Christmas Eve. The party crashers include Donkey (Eddie Murphy) and Puss in Boots (Antonio Banderas), who disrupt Shrek’s by-the-book plans, causing him to react in Scrooge-like fashion.
But in the vein of Scrooge and the Grinch, Shrek learns the true meaning of Christmas, which is clear to everyone but him, of course.
“The whole family’s together — and that’s something that you sort of count on,” Diaz said of her own holiday celebration. “But there are people who don’t have that and sort of have to … make up their own version of Christmas.”
Tom Cruise To Star In Episode Of Doctor Who
November 26, 2007
Tom Cruise is set to star in a special episode of hit British TV show ‘Doctor Who’.
The ‘Lions for Lambs’ actor is among a host of top US stars, including Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and Madonna, who the BBC are hoping to get on board for three blockbuster instalments of the British sci-fi series to be filmed next year.
An insider told Britain’s Daily Star newspaper: “BBC producers know they can’t pay these stars what they are used to, but what they can offer is an exciting role in a real cutting-edge show. And the big stars love that kind of kudos.”
‘Doctor Who’ already has a track record of attracting top stars for cameos. This year’s Christmas special, ‘Voyage of the Damned’, will see Kylie Minogue play a waitress at the 1912 launch party for the famously doomed ocean liner the Titanic, which sank after hitting an iceberg on its maiden voyage.
The three ‘Doctor Who’ specials will be shot in 2008, but will not hit screens until 2009. The three episodes are rumoured to be the final time actor David Tennant will play the time-travelling Doctor.
It is also believed 25-year-old actress Billie Piper - who quit the show in 2006 to pursue other projects - will return to play his sexy sidekick Rose Tyler.

Tom & Katie Surprise Spice Girls at Rehearsal
November 26, 2007
The Spice Girls’ upcoming reunion tour may provoke a good deal of nostalgia, but the group has already won over at least one brand-new fan: Suri Cruise.
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes surprised the group with an impromptu visit to rehearsals in Los Angeles recently, and daughter Suri danced along to the music, according to the Spice Girls’ official Web site.
Victoria Beckham, aka Posh Spice, explained that she and husband David “are great friends with Tom and Katie. It was lovely of them to come down to rehearsals, a really nice surprise.”
And it turns out Suri wasn’t the only one digging the visit.
“Katie has told me before that she used to be a big Spice fan so it was great for her to meet the other girls,” Beckham said.
The group recently performed together at the taping of the annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show – their first time onstage together in a decade.
The Return Of The Spice Girls tour kicks off in Vancouver this Sunday.

Slow down Christina
November 25, 2007
Pregnant Christina Aguilera’s husband has begged her to slow down.
The Dirrty singer — who is believed to be around six months pregnant — has refused to reduce her hectic workload and husband Jordan Bratman fears she is pushing herself too hard.
A source said, “Jordan was hoping Christina would give herself time to just chill out, but her daily business appointments and meetings are endless. Christina doesn’t plan on slowing down just because she is pregnant. Like any pregnant woman she does get tired, but she has told friends she intends to keep going right up until the birth.” (more…)
