Christina @ Larry King’s Show Interview

Christina Aguilera was on Larry King the other night, and the pop superstar shared the ways in which her son Max (whose father is Aguilera’s husband Jordan Bratman), has changed her life.

It seems that young Max has definitely increased Christina Aguilera’s desire to have an effect on politics. The singer recently filmed a public service announcement featuring son Max, in order to help Rock the Vote.

Larry King asked Christina Aguilera about her decision to film the public service announcement, to which Christina Aguilera responded, “My involvement with Rock the Vote is just trying to bring awareness to everyone out there. In particular for me, you know being a new mother it was really important for me to get involved with this election in particular, being such one of change and new development for our country and for the future of my son.”

Larry King then asked Christina Aguilera if she had any reservations about having Max appear in the announcement, as it would open him up to the public eye. Christina Aguilera then made the point that being that she lives her life in the limelight, Max is going to be subjected to the public no matter what, so she’s happy to have him involved with something she finds so important.

Max appears in the ad in Aguilera’s arms wrapped up in an American Flag, while she sings “America the Beautiful.” In a 1992 ad, Madonna appeared wrapped in the American flag, but Christina Aguilera points out why in her ad Max is the one wrapped up. Said, Aguilera, “But instead of wrapping myself, I would wrap my son, sort of pass it on to the next generation.”

Aguilera wouldn’t say which presidential candidate she was endorsing, saying only, “It’s just exciting, all the way around.” We wonder if little Max has an opinion. He looks like an Obama baby to us!”
