Cameron to work on new movies ?til June, 2008
December 11, 2007
Cameron Diaz hurried from production of “What Happens in Vegas…” with Ashton Kutcher into production of her currently shooting psychological thriller “The Box” with James Marsden, with barely any time in between. She’ll work right up ’til Christmas and resume after the holiday — and, she expects, she’ll pretty much keep working on back-to-back projects through spring.
It’s because, she tells us, “like a lot of people, I’m very busy with films in production, looking ahead to June. The actors’ strike is imminent, and everyone wants to do as much as they can before it happens.” With her delightful, ratings-topping “Shrek the Halls” due for an encore airing Dec. 11 on ABC, the box-office queen says of the next big-screen chapter in DreamWorks’ ogre oeuvre, “I haven’t heard yet. I’m just waiting for that day I get that phone call. I have no idea what’s in store. ‘Shrek Goes Fourth,’ I think it’s called. It’s some clever spin on ‘four.’”

Empire?s 100 Sexiest Movie Stars list
December 7, 2007
Empire magazine has revealed their list of the 100 Sexiest Movie Stars ever, and naturally Cameron was on it! She landed on the 47th spot with the following description:
47. Cameron Diaz
Jaws understandably dropped around the world when Cameron Diaz made her big-screen debut in The Mask. Walking into a drab bank in that knockout red dress, she marked the start of a career that has seen her continuously upping the sexy ante.
Sexiest Moment
The aforementioned spray on frock in “The Mask”. See also dancing in Spidey pants in “Charlie’s Angels”.

Top-Earning Ladies: Are They Worth It?
December 5, 2007
Reel Girl of E! Online has spoken her mind about the top 5 earning actresses in Hollywood and if they’re worth their paychecks or not. As you might know, Cameron landed on #3 on the list, and here are Reel Girl’s opinion about Cameron. Click here to read what she thinks about Reese Witherspoon, Angelina Jolie, Nicole Kidman and Renée Zellweger as well.
3. Cameron Diaz: $15-plus million
Is She Worth It? Yes. If they could write checks to her butt, that would be even better. Cam gets a bad rap because people like to talk about how she and her BFF Drew Barrymore can’t act. But you know what? They can play happy so well. Their happiness is contagious (please check with “Charlie’s Angels”). And Cam was very wise to step away from the serious stuff and go wacko romantico with Ashton Kutcher in next year’s “What Happens in Vegas…” Wow. I said something nice about Ashton Kutcher!

Warner Bros. to handle the domestic distribution of ?The Box?
December 5, 2007
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. has bought the rights to three high-profile Media Rights Capital-produced features for distribution in a mid-eight-figure deal: Richard Kelly’s horror film “The Box” starring Cameron Diaz, James Marsden and Frank Langella; Robert Rodriguez’s family fantasy “Shorts”; and Ricky Gervais and Matthew Robinson’s comedy “This Side of the Truth,” starring the director with Jennifer Garner in negotiations to co-star.
The deal also will infuse cash into each project’s budget. Warner Bros. is partnering with Ted Field’s Radar Pictures to co-finance “Box,” and its unnamed production outfit (formed with the Abu Dhabi Media Co. and Hunt Lowry) will co-finance “Shorts,” adding to MRC’s initial investment.
The studio will handle worldwide distribution on “Shorts” and domestic distribution on “Box” and “Truth.” The acquisitions have been in the works for several months. One factor in the deal’s slow gestation was that it came along as Warners president and COO Alan Horn was reorganizing the company’s motion picture group and promoting production head Jeff Robinov to president of the newly formed Warner Bros. Picture Group last month.
“The Box” centers around a box given by a stranger (Langella) to an unhappily married couple (Diaz and Marsden). He tells them that if they push a button on the box, they’ll receive a hefty amount of cash — and someone they don’t know will die. The film is now shooting in Massachusetts with Sean McKittrick producing.
Weinstein Co. is repping international sales on “Box.”
30th Annual Kennedy Center Honors
December 3, 2007
“Marty made his dreams come true, and he has made dreams come true for all of us who came before his camera.”
Those were some of the words Cameron said about the very talented director Martin Scorsese, as she, alongside Robert De Niro and Francis Ford Coppola, stood on the stage in the Hall of States at The Kennedy Center yesterday. The 30th Annual Kennedy Center Honors was the first event Cameron’s attended in almost 2 months - but it was definitely worth the wait as she looked hotter than ever in a white Gucci dress. The event will be showed on TV on December 26. 90 105 photos from the event have been added to the gallery. Don’t be afraid to speak your mind about Cameron’s look. :)

The 3rd highest payed actress in Hollywood
November 30, 2007
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Cameron’s the 3rd highest payed actress in Hollywood this past year. In the two top spots are Reese Witherspoon and Angelina Jolie, who both can ask for 15-20 million dollars a movie. Here’s what they said about Cameron’s pay check for “Shrek the Third, and below that is the full list of the ten actresses with the highest paychecks.
Diaz might have cashed in on her biggest payday to date this year courtesy of franchise cash cow “Shrek the Third,” which brought her more than $30 million. And while a paycheck like that could weigh down any girl’s handbag, it probably didn’t break the bank for the studio, which has taken in almost $800 million in worldwide boxoffice grosses from the third “Shrek” installment. Diaz will join the franchise for a fourth outing in 2010. In the near future, she will continue to tickle audiences’ funny bones with Fox’s “What Happens in Vegas … ,” co-starring Ashton Kutcher, and she will take a stab at the horror genre in the Weinstein Co.’s “The Box.”
The top ten
1. Reese Witherspoon — $15 million-$20 million
2. Angelina Jolie — $15 million-$20 million
3. Cameron Diaz — $15+ million
4. Nicole Kidman — $10 million-$15 million
5. Renee Zellweger — $10 million-$15 million
6. Sandra Bullock — $10 million-$15 million
7. Julia Roberts — $10 million-$15 million
8. Drew Barrymore — $10 million-$12 million
9. Jodie Foster — $10 million-$12 million
10. Halle Berry — $10 million

Cameron about ?Shrek the Halls?
November 26, 2007
Shrek, star of three animated blockbusters, now has his own Christmas special, “Shrek the Halls,” which debuts Wednesday, November 28, on ABC.Cameron Diaz, who reprises her voice role as Princess Fiona, hopes the story of the grumpy-yet-lovable green ogre’s first Christmas with family and friends will become a holiday tradition.“It’s just wonderful to see how they celebrate their Christmas and what it means to them,” the 35-year-old actress told The Associated Press in a recent phone interview. “And the humor is there and the beauty is there and the message is there.”
“He’s grown so much … it’s kinda great to see where he’s at now that he has a family and he’s experiencing life with other people for the first time — you know, investing in them,” Diaz said.
“Shrek the Halls” follows Shrek (voiced by Mike Myers) as he tries to achieve Yuletide perfection for Fiona and their children. Things fall apart when unwanted guests arrive at his doorstep on Christmas Eve. The party crashers include Donkey (Eddie Murphy) and Puss in Boots (Antonio Banderas), who disrupt Shrek’s by-the-book plans, causing him to react in Scrooge-like fashion.
But in the vein of Scrooge and the Grinch, Shrek learns the true meaning of Christmas, which is clear to everyone but him, of course.
“The whole family’s together — and that’s something that you sort of count on,” Diaz said of her own holiday celebration. “But there are people who don’t have that and sort of have to … make up their own version of Christmas.”
Cameron to star in ?Sofia??
November 24, 2007
Here’s a small piece of gossip concerning a rumored new role for Cameron (in the movie “Sofia”) from the Bulgarian entertainment site News.bg.
Hollywood megaproject called “Sofia” its now in the final phase. The scenario focus on Bulgarian labyrinth of social and economic problems in the last 17 years, the Standart daily informs.
The producers would like to see beautiful Catherine Zeta-Jones playing the leading part - a strong Bulgarian woman who left her country and many years later returned to her roots to find herself in the whirl of the events - political intrigues and classical adventures.
Uma Thurman or Cameron Diaz will probably play the second leading character. Clive Owen will take another main character - of a General.
Famous Bulgarian archaeologist prof. Nikolay Ovcharov is the prototype of the archaeology professor in the movie production.
The whole world must hear about Bulgaria and its people. The Bulgarians still lack self-confidence they deserve, Ralitsa Hofstetter from the Supernova film company comments.
Scriptwriter of the film is Ron Bass, a successful Hollywood playwrights and Oscar holder for best screenplay (Rain Man).
Most probably the director of the production will be John McTiernan (Die Hard, The Hunt for Red October), Standart informed.

?Shrek the Third? on DVD today!
November 13, 2007
The wait is ogre! The “Shrek the Third” DVD hits stores today, so go and get yourself a copy! It will be stuffed with bonus material just like the first two DVDs were. The movie synopsis can be read below, and the cover can be seen to your right.
It’s not easy being an ogre, but Shrek finds it doubly difficult for an ogre like himself to fill in for a king when his father-in-law King Harold of Far, Far Away falls ill in this third Shrek movie. Shrek’s attempts to fulfill his kingly duties play like a blooper reel, with boat christenings and knighting ceremonies gone terribly wrong, and to say that Shrek (Mike Myers) is insecure about his new role is a gross understatement. When King Harold (John Cleese) passes away, Shrek sets out with Donkey (Eddie Murphy) and Puss-in-Boots (Antonio Banderas) to find Arthur (Justin Timberlake), the only heir in line for the throne besides himself. Just as Shrek sets sail to find Artie (as Arthur is more commonly known), Fiona (Cameron Diaz) shocks Shrek with the news that she’s pregnant. Soon after, Prince Charming (Rupert Everett) sends Captain Hook (Ian McShane) in pursuit of Shrek and imprisons Fiona and her fellow Princesses as part of his plan to install himself as King of Far, Far Away.
