Cameron to star in ?Sofia??
November 24, 2007
Here’s a small piece of gossip concerning a rumored new role for Cameron (in the movie “Sofia”) from the Bulgarian entertainment site News.bg.
Hollywood megaproject called “Sofia” its now in the final phase. The scenario focus on Bulgarian labyrinth of social and economic problems in the last 17 years, the Standart daily informs.
The producers would like to see beautiful Catherine Zeta-Jones playing the leading part - a strong Bulgarian woman who left her country and many years later returned to her roots to find herself in the whirl of the events - political intrigues and classical adventures.
Uma Thurman or Cameron Diaz will probably play the second leading character. Clive Owen will take another main character - of a General.
Famous Bulgarian archaeologist prof. Nikolay Ovcharov is the prototype of the archaeology professor in the movie production.
The whole world must hear about Bulgaria and its people. The Bulgarians still lack self-confidence they deserve, Ralitsa Hofstetter from the Supernova film company comments.
Scriptwriter of the film is Ron Bass, a successful Hollywood playwrights and Oscar holder for best screenplay (Rain Man).
Most probably the director of the production will be John McTiernan (Die Hard, The Hunt for Red October), Standart informed.

?Shrek the Third? on DVD today!
November 13, 2007
The wait is ogre! The “Shrek the Third” DVD hits stores today, so go and get yourself a copy! It will be stuffed with bonus material just like the first two DVDs were. The movie synopsis can be read below, and the cover can be seen to your right.
It’s not easy being an ogre, but Shrek finds it doubly difficult for an ogre like himself to fill in for a king when his father-in-law King Harold of Far, Far Away falls ill in this third Shrek movie. Shrek’s attempts to fulfill his kingly duties play like a blooper reel, with boat christenings and knighting ceremonies gone terribly wrong, and to say that Shrek (Mike Myers) is insecure about his new role is a gross understatement. When King Harold (John Cleese) passes away, Shrek sets out with Donkey (Eddie Murphy) and Puss-in-Boots (Antonio Banderas) to find Arthur (Justin Timberlake), the only heir in line for the throne besides himself. Just as Shrek sets sail to find Artie (as Arthur is more commonly known), Fiona (Cameron Diaz) shocks Shrek with the news that she’s pregnant. Soon after, Prince Charming (Rupert Everett) sends Captain Hook (Ian McShane) in pursuit of Shrek and imprisons Fiona and her fellow Princesses as part of his plan to install himself as King of Far, Far Away.

Party For Interior Designer Robin Bell
November 5, 2007
I’ve finally been able to get my hands on 14 HQs from a public appearance Cameron made last month. She attended a party for interior designer Robin Bell on October 18 accompanied by “What Happens in Vegas…” co-star Lake Bell (who’s also Robin Bell’s daughter). Cameron was quoted as saying that the two of them just took a break from filming, and they had to leave the party early to do some more work for the movie. Since these are CameronFan.com exclusives, please credit this site if you use them. Thank you.

Cameron’s named one of the Ultimate Female Hotties
November 4, 2007
Entertainment Weekly has unveiled their list of the Ultimate Female Hotties: The ’90s To 2007, and obviously, our Cami was one of them. Other celebrities on the list were Angelina Jolie, Halle Berry, Salma Hayek and Charlize Theron. Here’s what they had to say about Cameron:
Ultimate Hottie Moment Doing the ”booty” dance in her bedroom, and then answering the doorbell (it’s the mailman, of course!) in her skivvies in 2000’s “Charlie’s Angels”.
James Marsden enters ?The Box?
November 2, 2007
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the “X-Men” franchise’s James Marsden is set to star alongside Cameron Diaz in “The Box”.
In the film he’ll play Arthur Lewis, the husband to Cameron Diaz’s character. Together, their depiction of an unhappy couple is thrown for a spin when they receive a box and are told that by pushing a button on the object they’ll receive a large spot of money, however, someone will die as a result.
A couple of months ago, it was rumored that actor Seann William Scott was starring in the movie, but it looks like that was - just a rumor.
“The Box”, which will be directed by Richard Kelly, is based on the Richard Mathenson story “Button, Button,” which was adapted in the ’80s for television’s “The Twilight Zone.”
Official title for the 4th ?Shrek?
November 2, 2007
Quick update: DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg has announced that the fourth installment of the “Shrek”-saga is called “Shrek Goes Fourth”. It is scheduled to hit theaters on May 21, 2010.
Weinstein buys the rights for ?The Box?
November 1, 2007
According to TwitchFilm.net, it seems like the Weinsteins have bought the North American distribution rights of Richard Kelly‘s new horror-thriller “The Box”. The film is still in pre-production, but should be going in front of cameras shortly with a hefty $30 million budget.
The film is based on Richard Matheson‘s short story “Button, Button” and starring Cameron Diaz, Frank Langella and Sean William Scott. With Kelly‘s curse of difficult distribution (Donnie Darko’s calamitous 2001 theatrical release and the forthcoming (Nov 14) year-and-a-half-late Southland Tales) who knows what will happen with the Brothers W. in charge of the release; hey, in an instance of reverse karma, things could actually go quite smoothly. Admittedly things I’ve been hearing about “The Box” indicate that it will be the director’s most mainstream effort to date (although NASA is somehow involved in the production, so don’t count those normal chicks before they’ve hatched.) Distribution outside of the US was bought by Icon for UK, Australia and New Zealand and Eureka for South Korea.
